What a wonderful class! Every week, there is a guest speaker, and you are required to write a one-page article. It's not complicated at all. The majority of speakers do not talk for the full two hours and always leave early. It's a good class to take if you're majoring in criminal justice and want to make contacts in the community.
It was the most enjoyable class I've had this semester. It's an easy A if you obey the professor's instructions. Because of the his teaching style, the students become more friendly and cooperative.
Professor Aguilar is the best professor you will ever have; he makes his class fun and enjoyable for all, and you will not be disappointed if you want to take it! The work he gives isn't complicated because everything he does is pretty interesting. This class taught me a lot, and I highly recommend taking it with him.
You can see that Prof. Smith is really concerned about her students' well-being. She gives you extra credit projects and encourages you to make up for your skipped or late assignments. Apart from reading the textbook and doing approximately one task each week, there isn't much work to be done. There's a midterm, final, and final paper to complete, but it's all doable.
The feedback I read on here made me nervous about taking Professor Hartman's Kinetics & Reactor Design class. I actually had a good experience with him though! The material is complicated, and the lessons are repetitive, but Hartman is a great teacher who is always eager to support students outside of class. He is willing to work with you and also gives you extra credit.
Prof. Lewinski was awesome! He lectured a lot, but he also took time to answer questions and actually enjoy it when students had something to say. Exams are simple if you have been paying attention in class. Throughout the course, there will be opportunities for extra credit (at least in corona)
I suggest you really show up in classes! His final exam is simple because he provides a question bank that you can practice with. For the five tasks, be as specific as possible, and write as much as you can. The group project must be extensively worked on. His feedback on that would be extremely relevant in deciding whether or not you get an A.
I enjoyed the class and the professor. I actually hate writing essays, but it's an English lesson, so I can't avoid it. He gives good feedback on essays as well. There are a lots of reading options, but they are all informative. Overall, I'm happy I took this class first because it's helped me prepare for the essays I'll be writing in my other classes.
Fergal is the best English teacher I've ever had; he's funny and genuinely interested in the content. I expected it to be a dull lesson, but he makes it fun. He cares a lot about his students as well. This should be a pretty simple class if you are respectful and attentive!
Her class can honestly be overwhelming at first, but do not be discouraged. This class is designed to actually help students learn! Everything you need is tied together to help you retain the concepts. Take her class if you want to learn. Don't slack off though because Google isn't going to save you.
He is an excellent professor who values integrity and respect. He can be cynical at times, making it seem as if he lacks empathy, but he really wants to help and encourage his students. He filmed the onscreen class and posted it on moodle so people could go back and watch it when we had to move to an online class due to COVID19.
Prof. MacLeod is a real gem that ACC should really keep! I'm actually finishing up my LAN+Cyber degree and have already encountered a number of poor teachers at ACC. Prof. Macleod is awesome! He's very experienced and you can see that he genuinely cares about his students. During Spring 2020, I took two classes with him. I wish he could teach more!
Professor Donato is amazing. All professors should strive 100% like him. Not only does he genuinely care about his students, but he also has a passion for teaching especially in science and it shows. He can tell if a student is just checking boxes or if they want to pursue a career in STEM. Overall, he will adjust to each student accordingly.
Professor Wolfe made the class very pleasant. He set clear ratings to ensure deadlines for homework were not missed and that sufficient time is provided. Also, his PowerPoints are highlights from the chapter. However, you have to read them because your class discussions and quizzes will prove if you know the material.
Professor Mayor is passionate about his field of study and makes the class interesting. He's very responsive and makes himself available to answer questions when needed. Always do the reading to prepare for weekly quizzes. Also, you get two points for each day you attend class, which is very helpful. I definitely recommend taking him for meteorology.
Professor Fischer is one of the most caring teachers I've ever had. His lectures are very interesting and he will keep you entertained. His class consists of a few assignments, midterm and final. It really takes time to make sure you understand everything, especially for the review sheets. Just keep it short and simple. Overall, I really enjoyed every minute of his class.
Professor Siegel gave a lot of paper work to do. He'll add a little comment to everything that you turn in. However, his instructions are not always clear. His work is spaced out. If you have an intense schedule, this class will work. He should interact with more scholars. The way his section is set up can be confusing. So, always look at the module section. Also, textbook is required to be quoted.
Professor Tonya is terrible! She doesn't seem to care about her students. She didn't have any online classes during the coronavirus, so I pleaded for more time to finish my online assignment, which she refused. She doesn't even explain things well, and if you ask for help, she gets irritated.
Prof. Bustos is amazing! If you're a Puente student, get ready for the drum circles. Overall, this guy is extremely nice; he may be picky about the work cited, but it's pretty understandable. This instructor was well-respected by the community. It is not an easy class, but it is enjoyable! Would highly recommend!
