Process Engineer
Involved in all aspects of water treatment process engineering for drinking water facilities. Responsible for carrying out a broad variety of assignments for numerous Southern Ontario municipal clients.
- Engineering experience includes process selection and optimization, treatability studies, facility assessments, conceptual, preliminary and detailed design, coordination of engineering disciplines, coordination of regulatory approvals, tendering and contract administration.
- Process experience includes pre-treatment processes, filtration, disinfection processes, and residuals management systems.
- Prepared engineering drawings and specifications, reports, surveys, capital and operating cost estimates, schedules, and standard operating procedures.
- Managed budget, schedule and deliverable expectations for projects when supporting in an assistant project manager/coordinator role.
- Developed proposals and fee letters in response to RFPs and RFQs.
Senior Engineer
Senior Engineer in Toronto Water's Water Treatment & Supply Division, Process, Innovation and Energy team, providing technical support to the City's drinking water treatment facilities through process upgrades review, operational coordination and training, and process optimization initiatives.
Engineer
Engineer within the Engineering & Construction Services, Major Infrastructure Group, delivering water treatment plant upgrade projects for Toronto Water.
Pilot System Operator
Conducted a pilot study to examine the efficiency of different water treatment systems at removing endocrine disrupting compounds (EDCs – eg., pharmaceuticals) from the raw water source.
Contract Researcher
University of Toronto - Conducted laboratory studies for York Region to assess the stability of disinfectant residual during blending of surface and ground waters.
Health Canada - Assisted in the development of an international small community water supply risk assessment tool being developed by Health Canada and provided as a WHO product.
