She should focus on calculus. Not a bunch of applications and long questions. There are courses that teach us how to apply calculus concepts. She messes up and skims over a fundamental understanding of calculus. Terrible

I know I'll get a thumbs down for giving a positive review but here it goes: I did all the readings, homework, went to lectures, did the practice problems and assignments. I went to the office hours a lot and that's why I did well with her class and Calculus in general.

One of the most terrible profs I've ever encountered. Turned my best subject into a worst one by turning math into English. They should go back to the traditional exams for the previous 20 years, not the Trendy English math.

Dr. Mayes Tang should have been more transparent and just told us that her tests are nearly exactly like the UMichigan tests that are online rather than take us through a labyrinth of tutorial problems and homework that is incoherently organized. It was poor course coordination and the different assignments that were given were very incongruent.

In Professsor Mayes-Tang' class there is so much writing for a math course. She would ask us questions such as "how can you apply math into real world?". She also made12% of your grade based on your grammar. There is a reason why I'm not majoring in English, the workload is unnecessary.

You won't have to worry if you suck at math because you won't do any of it in this class. You just have to brush up on your essay writing skills and sacrifice your prerequisite goat to satan for a good grade.
