    Frank B. Kellogg

Frank Kellogg was a U.S. statesman

    lawyer

and politician who was instrumental in the development of current political and legal thinking regarding monopolistic behaviour in business. In the 1911 Supreme Court case of Standard Oil Company of New Jersey v. The United States

Kellogg's prosecution of Standard Oil for monopolistic behaviour led to its division by the Supreme Court into a variety of competing entities.

During the Peninsular War against Napoleon

General John Moore pioneered what would later become the foundations of scientific management under Frederick Winslow Taylor. In the 21st century

these developments come to us in the form of LEAN methodology and Six Sigma.
