Prof. Beatrice hasn't developed a nuanced lecturing style that goes beyond reading her pre-written script. Her lectures feel like they drag on and it's such a struggle to remain focused, an example being that I am writing this during one of the lectures.
Awesome
Professor Jauregui is one of the best Professors at University of Toronto. A lot of people hated her lecture style. However, if you do the readings before class and engage with the material, you'll definitely get a really good grade. Also, she loves to show videos and have discussions whenever possible. Her tests require studying though. Overall, she's a great professor.

I am a cultural anthropologist and professional scholar. Using ethnographic and historical methods, I study the lived experiences of persons working in police and military bureaucracies to understand the everyday dynamics of authority, security and democratic order.
My forthcoming book, currently titled "Provisional Authority: Police, Order and Security in India", is based on more than twenty-seven months of field work over more than a decade with police in Uttar Pradesh, the most populous state in India.
Current research projects include: 1) a history of police unions and uprisings, in postcolonial India and beyond; 2) an ethnography of how the experiences and representations of US combat veterans have transformed from the Vietnam war era to the present. The latter project forms the basis of a documentary film provisionally titled American Communion.
