I have been employed at Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, NY since 1990. I currently hold the position of Professor of Pyschology teaching a variety of undergraduate courses. During my tenure at the college, I have held a variety of positions - serving as an administrator in the office for disability services, an academic advisor, and Department Chair of Liberal Arts and Sciences. I earned my Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and Methodology from the University at Albany (SUNY) in 2003. While serving as department chair, I authored the textbook, Strategies for First-Year Success and Beyond (published by Kendall Hunt Publishing) which was used as the primary book for students in a Freshman Seminar Course. Furthermore, I wrote and developed a transition and advocacy course for first semester students with learning disabilities as part of my doctoral dissertation. Currently, I am involved in a variety of professional projects, as follows: the psychological impact of sexual assault on college campuses, a orginal research initiative on body image issues for men, an leadership development concept for college students, and the psychology of recruitment for greek organizations on college campuses.
