Good

Lundgren is not an easy grader. He does not give easy A's. He makes you think about and work for the grade you get, which is fantastic because then you really do grow as a student. In class attendance is important because if you skip a total of three classes, your class letter grade will be reduced. He does not sugar coat critiques which made his class interesting.

If you missed more than 3 classes it will drop you a full letter grade. Use your absences carefully or save them for the end of the year.

Awesome

Prof. Lundgren's class wasn't an easy A but he created a well-balanced class to make it lighter for his students. If you aren't much of a good artist, you can still get a good grade as long as he sees you improving through the class. His grades are pretty much based on skill level. He doesn't give harsh critiques but he will not hesitate to point out the flaws in your work.

Good

Despite his teaching a class that isn't his specific major I also found that Professor Lundgren is also helpful and encouraging students while the situation is harsh. I found myself enjoying most of the things we did to his class and i never dreaded the class.

William
Lundgren, Assoc. AIA
Greater Seattle Area
After working extensively with AutoCAD projects during all 4 years of High School, I moved on to college at the University of Idaho. During my undergraduate studies, I developed technical skills such as Revit, Adobe, and hand drafting, as well as a variety of design skills. Projects included mixed-use housing, art galleries, and a design-build structure. I stayed in Idaho for another two years to pursue my Master's degree while also working part time teaching intro level design courses. During my final year, I developed a project that focused on thematic design and architecture.

After graduating in the Spring of 2018, I managed to find a position as an Architectural Intern at a firm in Kirkland, Washington. We specialize in Health Care and Veterinary Care facilities in the Pacific Northwest and around the Country. Although it has only been a year, I have already learned an extensive amount of information about the industry, best practices, design, and working in a professional firm. I plan on obtaining my license within the next 2 years as well as becoming LEED certified in the near future.

      Master of Architecture - MArch

      Architecture
During my time in the MArch program at the University of Idaho, I focused on imaginative and thematic design. The culmination of this was my final project, dubbed "Meyer & Sons". A synthesis of theme parks and living history museums, Meyer & Sons offers visitors an immersive experience in a place that is frozen in time. The luxuries of the modern world are nowhere to be found, and permanent residents aid visitors in finding their way in a strange, yet familiar place. Regardless of your length of visit, the park has something to offer for everyone. Spend your day reading, learn to ride a horse, work in irrigation ditches, or drink your fill at the local saloon. Meyer & Sons offers a bit of respite from all the distractions of contemporary life. Inspiration was drawn from Disney, Las Vegas, and numerous historical references. Intense research was involved to replicate accuracy and integrate themes into an immersive world. 90% of the project renders were completed by hand.
