I am an experienced team leader, project manager, researcher, and consultant, who has launched and sustained high-profile, inter-departmental initiatives related to student learning and organizational change.     Director of First-Year Programs

    Developed, implemented, and assessed new academic initiatives for first-year students, including the Common Experience/Common Read Program, First-Year Seminars, Learning Communities, and Academic Orientation. Successfully integrated first-year programs into academic and social cultures of the institution, contributing to improvements in student success and retention.

    Chaired the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Committee for HPU's SACS/COC accreditation. Oversaw large, diverse committee in areas related to topic selection, research, budgeting, implementation, and assessment. HPU earned full accreditation with no monitoring or reporting requests.

    Director, Honors Scholar Program

    Promoted to create a new Honors Program in line with best practices and national trends, one with a unique identity both institutionally and nationally. Working with the Honors Committee, I led the development of a new Honors Core Curriculum that facilitates project-based learning and reflective practice. The new core includes multidisciplinary courses at all levels of the curriculum, an integrated ePortfolio system, a yearlong collaborative project, and a capstone experience. I am responsible for budgeting, recruiting students, training faculty, and assessing program effectiveness.
