This program will focus on structuring a session within two popular brief intervention models (SFBT and FACT)

including a presentation of information and demonstration of techniques.

Structuring a Session Using Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

What do we do as therapists when facing a client’s “stuff” causes us to feel vulnerable

when realizing we bring a client’s stuff home with us

when struggling to balance our own stuff with the client in the room

etc.? We believe relief can be found in utilizing ACT for us as well as for the client. Moreover

the therapist’s willingness to use ACT skills in their lives will complement the core conditions (congruence

    unconditional positive regard and empathy)

proven helpful to client success in therapy. We will bring therapists to the room as both fully human and fully helper.
