  world traveler

  and the Points

  Miles

  and Deals Reporter for The Points Guy.\n\nVictoria is an avid traveler who blogs about cheap flight deals

  maximizing points and miles while traveling

  and traveling the world as a woman of color. In 2017

  she founded Vikkie Ventures

  where she wrote about inclusivity in the travel community. In five years

  Victoria has traveled to over 20 countries on four continents. Her reporting has been featured in the Washington Post

  the New York Times

  and Travel Noire.\n\nBetween 2017 and 2019

  Victoria first served as an adjunct and then full-time lecturer in the Department of Media

  Journalism

  and Film at her alma mater

  Howard University. Victoria taught MJFC 201-02 Multimedia Storytelling

  a course on the intersection of reporting and multimedia platforms

  MJFC Intro to Media Production and SCOM Digital Media Literacy.\n\nPreviously

  she was a video editor for The Washington Post

  where she spent nearly three years working with the universal desk covering breaking news and trending/viral news. At the Post

  she anchored major news events such as Election Day 2016 and the 2017 inauguration. She also produced daily social-friendly videos on national

  travel

  foreign

  and style news.\n\nVictoria is a native of Hampton
