I had Dr. Williamson for Chem 101 and 102. 102 is harder but that is why I go an A. Office hours help a LOT. The exams are like the practice exams. Rewrite your notes before you take her exams. Do the homework ASAP. Tests can be hard to finish but you can do it.

Awesome

Prof. Williamson is amazing! She's the best so far. She truly cares about her students. I saw her become equally concerned with the outcome of a student's scholarship issues as the student herself, but without being disingenuous. Mad respect for this prof! Her exams are challenging but fair. She even "warns" you with the homework.

I've always struggled with chem and I actually always end up dropping it, but things changed when I took Prof. Williamson. I was so thankful I chose her. She sets the class up to where you can get half to a whole letter grade above your test scores. She gives lots of HW and fill-in notes. She also uses iClicker every class. I suggest you do the practice tests!

I highly recommend taking Dr. Williamson! She is the most generous professor, but can be somewhat confusing during her lectures. She will do all she can to ensure you are in the best position to get the best grade that you can. Because of her, chemistry was the easiest out of all the classes I had last semester. Take her!

Dr. Williamson is one of the easier professors due to her being so generous. She gives partial credit on exams and will give the students a grade calculator. I received a C on my first exam but was still able to get an A in the class because I stepped up my studying a bit. As long as you know everything on the practice exams, you will for sure get at least a B.

Prof. Williamson was amazing! She's very sweet and she gave enough lectures and examples to review. Her class website is pretty helpful as well and she makes the course navigable and exciting. She gives good feedback and she informs you of what types of questions will appear on the final.

If you really wanna learn about chemistry, Prof. Williamson is a good prof to take. However, if you want an easy A, this class isn't for you. We had tons of homework and each topic builds on one another, so if you don't understand, you'll have to figure it out. Also, her exam averages are lower than the other chem prof.

Dr. Williamson is awesome! Her practice tests were an excellent way to prepare for her examinations! She goes off subject a little in lectures, but she loves to tell tales and demonstrate things, which I thought made class more engaging. She is very helpful during office hours and genuinely cares about her students as long as they show that they are working hard!

Professor Williamson rambled during lectures. She either goes into too much or too little about details. There's a ton of homework in her class as well. So if you miss a topic and don't understand one thing, then you won't be able to progress through homework. Her office hours were useless for anything, and she seemed annoyed that I was there asking questions.

Expect a lot of homework from Professor Williamson. And if you're late, it could take a long time to finish it all. During my year she had a flipped classroom. So, be prepared to watch an hour of lecture video before going to the actual class. The tests themselves are not very difficult though since she gives lots of practice tests and clicker questions.

Doctor Williamson is great at explaining concepts clearly. She makes it easy to successfully prepare for exams by uploading practice tests online. Also, her grading criteria are very clear. She provides many opportunities to succeed. In addition, your grade will truly be determined by how much work you put in, not her grading. I suggest you go to class and do all your homework for an A.

Doctor Williamson was very caring and provided her students with as many learning opportunities as possible. She teaches the material wonderfully and understandably. With her having an injury and COVID-19, she handled it well and even performed better on the exams. As long as you do the work that other reviewers complain about, you'll do great.

Professor Williamson is great. She's very nice. Her class is pretty tough. She assigns a lot of homework on Mindtap each week. Also, she publishes lectures that you should watch before attending classes. I think these actions contributed to a good grade for the class. I sometimes skip and have a B.

Dr. Williamson is very educated in her field, but not so good at teaching the material. Several long videos to watch before class and tested with Clicker questions in class. She provides practical exams and SI sessions that are useful. Moreover, she's very willing to work with you. But homework is very much and time-consuming. You must do your best to get an A or B.

Professor Williamson is a very good one. But during the Covid-19 crisis, he started to give huge amounts of homework and change the due dates of it, so that you never knew exactly when it would be turned in. In addition, several hours' worth of homework is assigned the night before the exam. Once again, she's fantastic to take in person.

Professor Williamson is good and kind. The material can be difficult to understand, but she is available most of the time. If you make an effort to understand the material, do practice tests, and go to SI, then you'll be fine. Also, there's a good amount of OWL assignments and lots of participation questions. Practice exams are helpful as well. Overall, she's a wise choice.

Awful

I took Professor Williamson's class in the Spring of 2020 during COVID-19 online class transition. I retook this class so I was familiar with the content. You will watch lesson videos before class and answer clicker questions. It is wasting more time than necessary and making it difficult to learn the content. The lectures were ineffective and I was forced to teach myself many concepts.

This professor is knowledgeable about the course. However, this semester, she hasn't thought about us students. We have to watch an hour-long video before every class. Then, she makes us answer clicker questions the whole class instead of teaching. Not to mention, she gives out so much homework it's crazy.

She's the top teacher you could ask for in course 119. We had to watch lectures online before going to class, which took a bit of time. However, it was beneficial when we had to answer lots of questions using the clicker in class. She makes things clear and is very helpful if you see her during office hours. Make sure to take good notes from the ones she hands out. You will have to put in the study time because chemistry isn't easy, but getting an A in her class is doable.
