I took professor Terpstra for Chemistry 114 and also 114 Lab. He writes all the notes you need on the board. It is optional whether or not you want to buy the textbook. He is a fair grader, if you think you deserve more points, you can argue why and he might give them to you. He is available during office hours and is always willing to help you understand the material. I would recommend taking his class.
