Played key role as a member of the five-person team chosen to support the Exxon Mobil merger negotiations. Evaluated the financial and operational synergies derived from corporate merger candidates, and prepared their market valuations. Created financial analysis relied upon to conclude $80 billion transaction with Exxon that resulted in a 30% premium to Mobil shareholders. Saved $25 million in avoided investment bank costs. Member of a transition team integrating the commercial practices of Exxon and Mobil. Managed EU mandated divestment of multi-million dollar European marketing asset.

Decreased costs, variable and fixed, in highly inflationary environment. Led business unit recovery efforts in the aftermath of the Southeast Asia 2004 tsunami. Secured approval for reconstruction of $140 million plant, initiated $90 million insurance recovery.

Restructured region, eliminating overhead and reducing costs. Improved COI by 160% from 2006 to 2008, while increasing operating margin from 26% to 36.5%. Maintained viability of Zimbabwean unit in hyperinflationary environment and continuing political turmoil. Managed completion of $120 million greenfield plant in Zambia.
