Biography

Colorado State University Pueblo - Philosophy

International Entrepreneur / Ecosystem Developer
Thomas
Carlson
Colorado Springs, Colorado Area
I am passionate about helping entrepreneurs. As the Director of Ecosystem Development at the Leadership Institute For Entrepreneurs (LIFE), I focus on cultivating Entrepreneurial Ecosystems which are local networks of entrepreneurs, coaches, business leaders, and investors. Within these networks of support, entrepreneurs are trained and equipped to start, grow, and scale new businesses. This entrepreneurial development then creates jobs and improves local economies around the world.

A serial entrepreneur myself, I have started many businesses in my career in a variety of sectors from graphic design, construction, and water bottling. I am also a professional educator and have taught Philosophy, Theology, business principles, team dynamics, cultural intelligence, and world religions in universities and other professional contexts.

With an extensive cross-cultural background, including living 10 years in the Middle East, and spending significant time in over 50 countries in Africa, Asia, and Europe, I have also become known as a trusted cultural communication specialist. Though currently I only speak Arabic and English, at different points in life I reached competency in six languages other than my native tongue of Athens, GA.

When not gallivanting about teaching and generating business growth, I like to plays guitar, read, write, run, and spend as much time outdoors as possible with my wife and two amazing red-headed kids in Colorado Springs.
