  My wife Donna and I obtained assistance from the Florida Baptist Convention in planting a new church on Fleming Island in 1997 which became Hibernia Baptist Church. We began modestly in the cafetorium at Paterson Elementary School on Pine Avenue. First Baptist Middleburg

  FL loaned us a few families for six months just to fill the chairs

  but we eventually moved out of the school and built our current sanctuary which now accommodate 3

  500 members.
