Poor

Prof. Laplant takes forever to grade papers. Until the deadline of grades, do not expect to know your grade. She's a harsh grader as well. Grades come from grammar and content. In the beginning of the semester, she gives tons of quizzes over reading assignments, but eventually stops doing them towards the end.

Good

Ms. LaPlant was amazing. She's a tough and slow grader, but she actually helps you become a stronger writer. She gave five essays in class, but none of them are very demanding. She's approachable and nice. Would recommend her if you want to become a better writer. As long as you show up in class and do your work, it would be an easy A.

Average

Professor Laplant is a kind person, wasn't a terrible teacher, however a tad disorganized.

Good

Professor Laplant was okay. Sometimes, she was all over the place, but she would work with students to help them. Sometimes though she can be a little passively aggressive, but for the most part she's nice. Her homework is not a lot, all of it doable and easy. There's no exam too. There's a time that we spent a whole class, watching YouTube videos. Just show up and try to distract her, to make her go off topic.

Awesome

Although it was her first time teaching HONS1990, I will definitely take her again! She was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable in her explanations and examples. Really talkative and disorganized, but this is a class where the professor shouldn't be holding your hand anyway. She tried her hardest to keep things exciting and fun for the audience.
