As long as you show up, this class is an easy A. Prof. Carpio says the textbook is necessary, but it isn't really. It will make your life easier though since his reviews are straight out of it. He will give take home quizzes and go over every single thing that will be on exams so there's no surprises. Be ready to participate and share your story because he loves to engage with students.

      Teaching health care professionals (providers, educators, and managers), online providing an overview of the ethics of health care in a rapidly changing society. Students learn how to approach ethical dilemmas using theoretical frameworks and decision-making processes. Ethical issues surrounding health care changes and public health policy, including distribution of resources and rationing of services, are explored. Through the use of case studies, students are introduced to other health topics, such as euthanasia, reproduction, transplants and genetics from an ethical perspective. The course also includes a review of classic cases in health care ethics and how they have shaped health policy, an overview of patient education and ethics, and a discussion on the professional codes of ethics and standards. Teaching fundamentals of finance, core applied financial principles, and financial decision making tasks as they are encountered in the healthcare sector. Through a combination of didactic lectures, weekly homework assignments, a course project, quizzes, and two examinations. Students receiving a strong foundation in financial principles and develop the core skills needed to perform healthcare financial reporting, financial analysis, budget planning, and strategic planning. *Teaching Management Concepts addressing in detail, the operations within healthcare institutions from the macro to the micro levels of management.
