Average

Professor McCamant's class is serious. There are lots of reading. The homework and exams are very challenging. I have never been so stressed, or kept my eye on the drop date so closely. I was just asked what my favorite course so far has been, I answered " CS 5271". The syllibi, past assignments and reading lists are easily found online to get an idea of what to expect.

Awesome

Prof. Stephen's class is very demanding. It's worth it if you care about security. You'll need to know everything covered in lecture and HWs to do well on exams. Research project takes way way longer than 50 hours. Assigned readings aren't so necessary. HWs are the most interesting I've ever encountered though. I suggest you go to office hours a lot.
