She's unorganized and often doesn't stick to the syllabus. By the end of the term, there were only four grades posted on Blackboard. This meant you had to do well on all of these, or your final grade would suffer. She also took a long time to grade and return tests. Yes, she was a nice person, but I wouldn't sign up for her class again.

Stephanie
Attleboro, Massachusetts
With several years of experience in teaching mathematics, I am very confident in my passion and abilities as an effective teacher of Mathematics. I am a graduate of Bridgewater State College having received my Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, completed the Accelerated Postbaccalaureate Program in Education, and secured my Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics as well as a second Master's in Special Education. Most recently, I have received the Educational Specialist certification (EdS) from Liberty University and am currently pursing the Educational Doctorate (EdD). My Massachusetts Certifications are in Mathematics (5-8), Special Education (5-12) and Business (5-12). I have been called upon to teach students functioning in an inclusion class as well as those on target for their grade level, honors, and at the collegiate level. I have found great success in teaching to diverse student populations by helping my students to recognize their own individual learning style, integrating effective materials, and being a source of individualized attention and extracurricular support.

I encourage learning by using several different types of manipulatives, hands-on activities and a variety of technology. Through classroom discussions, open ended questioning, and cooperative learning I am able to provide a class that is interactive, fun, encouraging, and positive as well as highly educational. I utilize software that allows me to not only recognize student progress but to locate areas of weakness. In so doing, this provides me the opportunity to adequately prepare my students for upcoming testing and finals. My position as adjunct professor has enabled me to continue to share my love of mathematics as well as provide my students with real world application that helps them to understand the importance and challenges of the mathematical concepts being learned.
