Awesome

This is honestly the best religion class I've taken at BYU. It was very fulfilling and worth it. Most times I'm just jumping through the hoops and feeling like I'm not learning anything new. In this class, I've learned a lot. 10/10 would recommend.

Awesome

I enjoyed Sorensen's class, she is really great at communicating. Every online tests is open book, so you'll really love learning about the Prophets. Make sure to dedicate time into the written response activities and the test, because that's where the grades are harsher. I would love to take another online class with Sorensen, I learned so much.

The unique role of a mother is among the most noble of all of God's designs. Children's victories and defeats are a mother's own

and a mother's primary goal is to see her posterity thrive in this mortal experience. But when the trials of life threaten her loved one s well being

where can she turn for peace? Written by mothers

    for mothers

this compilation of stories from some of the most beloved authors in LDS literature relates the cherished moments and life lessons learned through the ups and downs of motherhood. From the blessings of following spiritual promptings to the unparalleled strength of a mother's prayer

the personal experiences shared in this stirring collection offer hope and encouragement to mothers of all ages and stages. This celebration of the valor of motherhood will inspire

    uplift

and encourage readers to rely on the incomparable power of our Father in Heaven as they care for their families.

    A Mother's Prayer

Even the most devoted mom can feel overwhelmed and discouraged in the daily trenches of family service. But she can find power in her seemingly endless and ordinary tasks when she sees how they symbolize her covenant relationship with Jesus Christ. In this insightful exploration of domestic life

Stephanie Dibb Sorensen shows how everything a mother does

from folding laundry and washing dishes to refereeing arguments and taking temperatures

is designed to bear record of the Savior s atoning mission. Through scriptural exploration and personal experience

she illustrates how the ongoing chaos of an active home enables a mother to develop the Lords attributes as a creator

    teacher

    healer

    provider

and cleanser thus giving her the opportunity to do for her family

    on a smaller scale

what Christ does for the human family.

Section 4 of the Doctrine and Covenants is a remarkable revelation that imparts a great deal of wisdom and divine light with tremendous economy. While traditionally viewed as a revelation on missionary service

the principles seated deep within the text and sub-texts of section 4 have application to all aspects of Christ-centered service. The collected voices presented in this book represent have deep-seated desire to see the work of the Lord move forward. Regarding this small 7-verse section of the Doctrine and Covenants President Joseph F. Smith stated that it \"contains sufficient counsel and instruction for a lifetime of study...It is as broad

as high and as deep as eternity.\" Royalties on the sale of these books will be donated to the General Missionary Fund of the Church

author Stephanie Dibb Sorensen provides a valuable resource to accomplish this goal with a rich and detailed annotation of each scripture listed under \"Jesus Christ\" in the Topical Guide. This in-depth study of the Savior traces His ministry and teachings through each of the standard works

providing a vivid account of His life and attributes. Enhanced by insights from modern-day prophets

    apostles

    and educators

readers are guided through the scriptures

with ample space to take notes on personal insights and spiritual impressions. Prompts for reflection and discussion questions encourage thoughtful participation and allow for family involvement.
