Norrell
Knoxville, Tennessee
Editor and technical writer strong in cross-disciplinary communication, copy editing and developmental editing, proofreading and manuscript preparation, and generally making words do things. I have a high degree of linguistic training in both syntactical analysis of Latin and the western Romance languages and in reading the languages themselves, which has given me a deep understanding of English prose. As a copy editor I have edited twenty books for six university presses, and as a technical editor I specialize in turning the highly technical work of writers whose first language is not English into clear, efficient, elegant writing.
