I enjoy teaching and counseling. My goal is to maintain my professional life during these retirement years.

Specialties: Teaching Psychology, Methods of Social Studies Education, and Foundations of American Education. I also supervise student teachers at their field placement sites. I provide Psychological Counseling on a limited basis.

    As president-elect, I was responsible for developing an annual conference for the Northeast Regional Conference for the Social Studies (NERC). As president, I oversaw the various Massachusetts regional social studies groups, assisted the president-elect with development of NERC, and presided over meetings of the Board of Directors of the Mass. Council.

    I teach and advise student majors in Human Development, based on theory and my personal past experiences working in this field and in education. This is a position within the School of Education and Social Policy, in the Department of School, College, and Community Studies. My teaching focus is in Educational Psychology; Diversity, Social Policy and Ethics; Applied Adolescent Psycholgy; and Child and Adolescent Development. In addition, I often supervise student teachers in their middle and secondary school field placements.
