Poor

Prof. Riad is very intelligent and he also gives hilarious anecdotes that make the classes bearable! However, he makes math 151 much harder than it has to be. His lectures were just based on math theorems and proofs that didn't really translate to simple calculus. It's actually as if he intentionally wants the class to be confused.

Awful

Professor Masri should stick to teaching students that are working on their master's degrees. He used symbols and notations, that freshman should not have to worry about. The material for Math 151 isn't that hard. However, he complicates it so much. Though I really enjoyed his energy when teaching, still he made this course very difficult for no definable reason.

Poor

Prof. Masri is very disorganized. He doesn't use eCampus at all. He always had us do the homework on paper. There are no past common exams for reference as well. First past of lecture only involves the first two problems of the textbook from the chapters which were honestly pointless. He even had someone else proctor our second exam rather than doing it instead.

Awesome

Prof. Masri is the best choice for people who have already taken calculus in HS. You will definitely relearn the stuff you learned in HS, but he goes very in-depth into the stuff you already thought you understood. Despite the fact that I am retaking calc, I still enjoyed this class because I never got bored with the material.

Awful

Prof. Masri is very knowledgeable about mathematics and its theoretical concepts, but he isn't the best choice for engineering majors. He goes way too deep into the fundamentals of calculus that he loses focus on what should be taught. He's pretty smart but he doesn't know how to instruct Math 151 properly.

Awful

Professor Masri is very enthusiastic and even funny at times. However, he made Math 151 harder than it needed to be. Almost the entire class took calculus in high school and very little of us understood the proofs he spent 90% of class time on. The exams were difficult too. Actually, there was no need for so much math theory in an introductory engineering math class.

Awesome

Professor Masri's class ha d three tests and each had around five questions. Half of the questions are the conceptual problems he does during lectures, other half come straight from the homework. Professor Masri is very knowledgeable on the subject, but he goes on tangents often, teaching stuff that only comes up in higher level math courses and will not be tested on.

Awful

Prof. Riad is very theoretical and philosophical when it comes to teaching. I can see him being a good prof for a very advanced math class or for graduate school students, but not for basic math courses like Math 151 or 152. Exams are multiple choice, 5 questions, and most of the material does not reflect what he taught.

Awful

Professor Masri's lectures were useless. He shouldn't be teaching engineering major classes, instead should teach a statistics class or something. He goes too deep into almost everything. Also, the exams were more difficult than normal ones since it's a lot harder. It has five free-response questions, so you can't afford to skip even one question if you want to get an A.

Good

Professor Masri's class was pointless. I just did other homework most of the time or skipped the class. What I like though is that there were no quizzes in the class. The only grades were homework and exams with only five questions. And if I just did the homework I would do fine. Somehow, I prefer his method over the common exam method.
