    Flicks: International Film Festival for Youth

    Flicks was a youth-centred film festival that presented film programs that catered to the curriculum needs of Saskatchewan educators

    as well as providing general family-oriented entertainment. In addition to film screenings and workshops

    the festival hosted the Zoom In! Young Filmmakers Competition

    and the Industry Film Forum. As the primary administrative staff

    I produced the festival for two seasons

    and I curated all the programs. Flicks closed its doors in 2011. \n\nHighlights:\n\nDeveloped new initiatives including: the Roaming Workshop Series

    a fully subsidized program designed to bring film production workshops into secondary schools in Saskatoon; and the School Day Series Film Festival

    a curriculum-based festival featuring films and videos from Canada and around the world. The School Day Series became the model for The Scene: Youth Media Festival. I also curated two stand-alone film programs for high schools in Prince Albert and Tisdale
