Dr. Welch is very passionate about teaching this course. If you decide to take his class, it is crucial to know that he teaches off an outline for each chapter. With that being said, skipping a class will really affect your performance and grade.

Honestly, I didn't enjoy his lectures, but he was a good professor. The lectures would run the whole class period and he would go on tangents at times. He also has an outline that in the lecture can be hard to follow. You'll be okay as long as you make sure to read the chapters in the book. Make sure to study because there are only four grades and those are the exams.
