Prof. Redner's introductory course was tough! I never left the class with a good understanding of what was going on! It was just really hard to get by. He has his way of answering your questions outside the class to make you think that you understand, but you won't really know enough to do good on exams. His handwriting is so hard to understand as well. He doesn't also give feedback on graded work.

The content is rough, way harder than what I'd heard about the class with other teachers. Despite this being a beginner's course, he marks just like his advanced calculus class. Better double-check your notation. Apart from this, he's a cool and is knowledgeable about subject matter. If you hope to get through, fire away with all your questions and keep your notes neat and detailed.
