I am a Graduate of Mt San Jacinto College who advanced to receive my Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Riverside with first author on multiple publications. Since completing my graduate degree, I have been engaged in environmental research, and I am currently proposing a water monitoring project involving Mt San Jacinto STEM students, to be implemented Fall 2014. The project will engage students in field studies of local water sheds, ultimately leading to the construction of a network database of analytes, volatile organic compounds and other chemical contaminants in local fresh water reserves.
