Professor Dyke is kind, however the entire class and myself struggled to not fall asleep. He is a very boring professor, his class consisted of lectures almost always, and they were very dull, and when he read it was straight out of the book for the most part. The one positive thing is he is terrible with technology, which can sometimes tend to help you out.

Professor Dyke is very unorganized (worst than a first grader), he doesn't teach only hands you a textbook and expects you to read. He shouldn't be allowed a receive a rating higher than a zero, he need to re-attend school. If you like a professor who slacks and doesn't give grades out until after class is completely completed (including papers from the first week), then he is for you.

I honestly didn't care for his class due to the online switch, which disarrayed everything. He was very difficult to reach, and by the time he got back to your emails it was too late.

Professor Dyke could just be terrible at online teaching, and unfortunately I took the class during the COVID-19 online switch. He didn't teach, he was horrible at communicating (never answering emails), and his exams were extremely complicated.

I attended Professor Dyke's online course this summer 2020. He was very specific to the guidelines on the paper, but never responded to emails. I emailed him four times and he responded once, after I had already sent the assignment in Canvas. He wasn't a good communicator at all and there was a lot of expected reading and discussion.

I wouldn't recommend this class. Due to his lack of organizational skills, this class became really hard. He seems like a nice guy, but he isn't a good teacher.

I truly disliked the order of Professor Dyke's class, there was barely any instructions given making it a very difficult course. This was definitely the worst class I've ever taken, due to the terrible communication including a week-late syllabus, assignment due dates, and the extremely overcritical, and complicated grading of essays.

Prof. Dyke isn't the teacher for you. I wouldn't suggest taking him for history. I hated the exams and communication issues with him. He really seems to care about history, but he isn't good at being a teacher. Pls go take someone else.

Prof. Dyke's class is the worst especially his online class! I wouldn't recommend this at all. If you stumbled upon this review, take this as a sign to not take this class. This is honestly the most terrible class I've ever taken!

Professor Dyke chooses not to teach at all, when teaching an online course. He never lectured/taught us, he instead gave us Cogbooks to take notes on, and when he grades your papers, there is barely any feedback. I really struggled in this class because Doctor Dyke was hard to reach by email. It took him a long time to grade anything and his due dates for our assignments was confusing. Maybe he would have been the best teacher for full-time lessons. However, for online classes it wasn't good at all.

Prof. Dyke is the worst prof I've ever had. I'm honestly organized and smart, but he really made it hard to do well in class because of how disorganized he was with deadlines and how hard it was to contact him.

I had Prof. Dyke for an online class. It was very tough because he didn't lecture at all. He didn't actually teach, he just gave us the textbook to read. Grades come from 4 exams and he didn't grade my first exam until the last day of the course. He isn't responsive to emails as well. He even got many of the due dates wrong on canvas.
