Good

He is a good teacher and class is reasonable. I hate but I found the class interesting. He gives pop quizzes and 5 points are given just for showing up. He curves the tests and the pop quizzes. Good Prof!

Good

I would not recommend taking this class if you're not a geography or a physical sciences major. Oliver is funny and his class was interesting sometimes, but the majority of the lectures were very incredibly boring. Going to the SI sessions were helpful, especially the exam review ones. His exams seem like they're going to be easy, but they never are!!! His exams are super complicated. Most of the class walked out of the exam after 35 minutes of exam time. His teaching assistant is a looser. Does not know the first thing about lab work. You will find out that the teaching assistant knows absolutely nothing about Geography! He has no practical experience navigating on the open seas, so be super careful. This guy can not give you any practical advise.

Awesome

Professor Frauenfeld was very nice and his class is enjoyable. I'm not a Geography major, but I attended class every day, studied a fair amount and did get a 100. If the class doesn't perform well, he gives curves. When we went online, his quiz and lecture videos were in pretty good quality. He's a good choice for a life science credit.

Awesome

The stuff you talk about in Professor Frauenfeld's class is sometimes boring. But he's fun so he made it better. There are three exams, 30% each, and all the information comes from his PowerPoints, which are not posted. So, be sure to go to class. There's no final exam. Pop quizzes every week. It's an easy A class, as long as you go to classes and take good notes. Overall, he's a great professor.

Awesome

I'm not a science major, but I like Professor Frauenfeld's class. It's well organized and you know what to study. Also, he was really helpful after we transitioned to online classes. His online lectures were fun as well. Moreover, the pop-up quizzes are a bit annoying, but they force you to study. Overall, he's nice and I will take his class again.

Without a doubt, he's one of the nicest teachers I've ever had. He does give a lot of surprise quizzes, though, and doesn't put his slide presentations online. You have to rely on your notes from class when studying for exams. Even though geography isn't my major, I had to put in more hours studying for this elective than I thought I would, which was kind of annoying.

Professor Frauenfeld frequently administers surprise quizzes, so it's essential to be present in his class. I had him on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and almost every other week, he would spring a pop quiz on us. The lecture hall was always crowded, and he mainly lectured directly from the monitor. Pay close attention to taking notes during class since that was my primary resource. The textbook wasn't necessary. Just make the most of the Supplemental Instruction sessions to ensure your success in the course.

Awesome

Professor Frauenfeld comes across as intense initially, but he's genuinely kind. What sets him apart is his penchant for ending lectures with adorable videos. Expect pop quizzes every week right before class concludes. However, the silver lining is that half the credit is simply for participating. While he shares lecture slides, they lack crucial information, making attendance strongly advised.
