As a professor, Noreen Lace believes in purpose and joy, giving positive thinking exercises to uplift the students’ and the tone of the classroom. As a writer, she believes in the beauty of language to express the challenges of life. Her fiction and poetry have appeared in national as well as international journals: The Chicago Tribune’s Printers Row Journal, The Oleander Review, Vine Leaves Press (Australia), Silver Stream Journal (Ireland), among others. “Memorial Day Death Watch,” her memoir about her father’s passing, placed as a finalist for Writer Advice, while her poem, “All at Once,” was published as a finalist in Medusa’s Laugh’s Contest Issue.
