Good

Even though she appears strict at first, she is super nice. She's a stickler for writing dates on trends finds. Also, she wrote the textbook, Overall her class was fun. She isn't crazy like some professors. The only thing I didn't like was that she kept saying some of the links weren't working but they were.

Awesome

I was scared about the amount of power points due every week, but they were fun and creative, and I took her forecasting online class. However let me tell you to ALWAYS have a date, and make sure you know how to do citations. Discussions were easy. Midterm and final are both common sense quizzes and straight from the textbook. She really cares and emails too.

Good

Ostroff is a sympathetic prof who makes her course simple and straightforward. Lectures can be tedious because they are all about the powerpoint, but students are continuously urged to participate. Ostroff is a really easygoing person who is easy to get along with, friendly, respectful, and hilarious. The midterm was challenging, but the final project was simple. 10/10 would recommend!

Professor Ostroff really emphasizes participation. She wants to hear about your personal experiences and how this relates to the course. There's homework every week, a midterm, and a final. Also, you have to buy the textbook to do the homework because it is online in a package. The tests are easy if you do your homework and listen carefully in class.
