My current research focuses on the link between empathy and morality. In particular, my research is aimed at examining whether empathy is necessary for moral judgment and prosocial behaviour. I use examples from psychopathy to argue that psychopaths do not suffer from an empathy deficit, but instead suffer from shallow emotions. In doing so, I argue that empathy may not be at the core of moral behaviour.
