She was a game changer and an inspiration. She made the course a fun learning opportunity. She went beyond the textbook and made sure that we all became great nurses like herself. She proved what a real therapeutic relationship is and implemented it.

Mitzi is a one of a kind professor. She makes an effort to help the students understand the theories better and always uses real life examples! She is very inspiring. I actually knew nursing is for me after taking her course! She doesn't only read what's shown on powerpoint during discussions. She's always willing to help her students.

I'm not sure why so many students have praise for her and attest to her being a great professor when she doesn't teach. Kind and welcoming? No doubt. But flaky as a teacher. Gives one decent lecture and cancels classes often. She tells you what you "should know" before a test. And her tests on theory are crazy.

This June, I'll be marching on the stage and will obtain my degree. The past four years have been a bittersweet experience. As I looked back on my undergraduate education, I can honestly say that Professor Mitchell was the best personification of what it means to be a nurse. She has left an indescribable affect on how I view my profession and the future that I envisioned for myself.
