    Assistant Professor / Program Specialist

    ➢ Assistant Professor- Prairie View A&M University- College of Agriculture and Human Sciences (CAHS)
    Teaching: Teach seven undergraduate courses each academic year. These courses include; General Animal Science ANSC 1513, Poultry Science ANSC 2523, Meat Science ANSC 3523, Dairy Science ANSC 2533, Poultry Science ANSC 2523, Food Microbiology FDSC 3593 and Animal Nutrition ANSC 3503.

    Academic Advisor: Advise and mentor animal science and pre-veterinary medicine students within the CAHS. Evaluate students’ ability on practical and theoretical knowledge within each subject areas. Prepare lectures for classes and conduct laboratory exercises within each subject areas. Provide external learning through field trips, conferences and symposiums.

    Research: Write research grants proposals for funding through NIH, DOD, USDA and NIFA.
    Conceptualize, design, conduct and analyse in vivo and in vitro experimental trials. Publish research work in appropriate peer review journals.

    ➢ Program Specialist - Agriculture division (Cooperative Extension Program)
    Duties: Train and provide program information for extension agents, teachers and local farmers within the region that will create sustainable agriculture production systems.
    Provide a broad base platform for extension staff and students to learn and manage various agricultural enterprises.
    Collaborate with the different branches in agriculture extension to provide the necessary information for training in 4H, Community Development, Family and Consumer Science and
    Agriculture.
