I had Professor O'Loughlin for his basic level class, the class was way more difficult than my upper level courses. He is a really hard professor, and attendance is definitely needed in order to pass his course. Be prepares for en excess amount of discussions in class on socialist ideas. It's very clear he rewards his favorites, and his grading is subjective.
