    - Served as community liaison at the City of Houston Emergency Operation Center during Hurricane Harvey, interfacing directly with the Mayor of Houston, Police Chief, Fire Chief, and other government and community leaders.
    - Developed and managed relationships and strategic partnerships with 30+ community members, stakeholders, and agencies, government entities, corporations, and other organizations, to work together to develop plans with a holistic approach to identify needs, fill gaps, build community resilience, and assist highly vulnerable communities.

    Leadership Houston Class XXXIII and S.H.A.P.E. Community Center have partnered together to revitalize the community center that has served children and families in 3rd Ward for 45 years by renovating the center’s library and computer lab. The Mission Leadership Houston Class XXXIII utilized its expertise and resources to renovate S.H.A.P.E. Community Center through focusing on the computer lab and the library. The class renovated the computer lab through the provision of new flooring, ceiling tiles, chairs, desks, computers, printers, a projector and a white board. The literacy needs of the center brought the provision of relevant books for persons of all ages and the donation of tables, shelving, and chairs for the library. In revitalizing S.H.A.P.E., Leadership Houston Class XXXIII enlisted a local artist to create murals and other various artistic pieces to be incorporated at the center, depicting and memorializing the historic, cultural and community significance of S.H.A.P.E. and its impact on Houston.
