Very blunt as a teacher, making sure you know just how he feels about your writing. Aside from that, he's got a great sense of humor. It took a bit to adjust to his attitude but in the end I just loved his class.

Prof. Matt is a good choice if you struggle with research. He explains things clearly and he's pretty chill. I really learned a lot about citations and research from him. He's very helpful and understanding. He's also super friendly and respectful.

There's a lot of reading in Professor Howell's class, followed by a discussion about material. He wants everyone to express their opinion and makes it clear that participation is important. He's very patient and explains everything several times if necessary. Also, he makes sure you know how to do citations. Overall, I found him fair and caring. I highly recommend him for English 102.
