    I served as a Graduate Research Assistant under the tutelage of Dr. Chiu Liu. There

    I researched the relationship between concrete compressive strength and the fractal dimension of the fractured concrete surface. I wrote a thesis on the subject and was published in various ASCE journals.

    My role at Schnabel Engineering was as a project engineering providing geotechnical and structural support to the Dams Engineering Group. My designs included geotechnical and hydraulic structures and I am experienced in data collection

    and hydraulic and hydrologic modeling with the HEC-1 and HEC-RAS computer programs

    computer modeling of slope stability (Slope W) for earth dams

    and design using AutoCAD.  I am also experienced in geotechnical and water resources field investigations

    including dam inspection; test boring location layouts; oversight of test borings

    and both auger and mud rotary drilling; standard penetration test (SPT)

    rock coring; logging and labeling of soil samples and rock cores; ASTM visual classification methods; and the installation and monitoring of piezometers and groundwater monitoring wells.
