Despite her fast-paced teaching style, she's still an awesome professor. She also offers partial credit points. She even drops your lowest grade in HW & quiz. If you ace your final, your lowest test grade will be replaced by your final grade.

Awful

AVOID her at all costs! She teaches extremely fast. She will go over examples in class quickly and then erase it right after so you do not have time to comprehend the info she is teaching. Quizzes almost every class and lots of webassign. She does not do reviews for tests, she just gives you a packet. You can pass but only if you are good at learning on your own.

Good

Even though she acts harsh sometimes, she's actually very kind. She will help you if she feels that you don't understand the material. She likes straightforward students! She' a really good grader.

Average

Professor Hopkins is very nice and caring. She's accessible through text and email outside the class. She extends homework due dates very often and loves quizzes, as well as exams. However, Calculus 2 is very difficult, and she didn't explain anything well. She would just go through the course and do one or two problems on new topics before moving on. Overall, I would not take her class again.

Good

Professor Hopkins is a very relaxed one. When I took her it seemed like she was unorganized but it ended up benefiting me. It may not benefit the rest of the class though. Also, she often extended exam deadlines and homework due dates which were great, because it gave me more time. And if someone gets confused, she'll review the homework before the due date.
