Management and administration of the BCR (with a staff of 9). Liaison between IGC and all TCGA Research Centers. IGC is the Biospecimen Core Resource (BCR) for The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), jointly sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) and serves as a centralized laboratory/repository that reviews and processes all cancer and normal tissue samples (blood included) and their associated data using rigorous standard operating procedures for TCGA Research Network.

Established and managed in-house histopathology labs in physician-owned facilities throughout the United States. Responsible for hiring pathologists and histo techs, design and construction of lab, purchasing of equipment.

Delivered high quality scientific presentations on the overall therapeutic area to physicians and other key external parties. Identified, developed, and maintained advocacy in key customers. Developed potential outside clinicians/investigators as speakers for the company. Represented Takeda to the outside clinical community and provide clinical education support for internal Takeda customers. Maintained clinical and technical expertise in the therapeutic area by staying current on the scientific literature, attended scientific and key technical meetings, and partnered with Takeda clinical,
research and commercial teams. Provided feedback on emerging clinical trends. Involved in pre-launch and launch activity of new drug.
