    Management and administration of the BCR (with a staff of 9). Liaison between IGC and all TCGA Research Centers. IGC is the Biospecimen Core Resource (BCR) for The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), jointly sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) and serves as a centralized laboratory/repository that reviews and processes all cancer and normal tissue samples (blood included) and their associated data using rigorous standard operating procedures for TCGA Research Network.
