Positions

  • Free to Fly, 501C-3

    Co-Founder

Free to Fly is an organization addressing the working poor population in the City of Rochester, specifically the SW neighborhoods. This is for people who are currently working or who have recent work experience but who are not self-sufficient but would like to be. Our goal is to help people break down barriers which prevent them from becoming self-sufficient, a hand-up not a hand-out. We offer curriculum, programs, training, personal life coaches, networks, financial mentorship, and free food/household goods for our participants. Participants belong to the organization and pay a small monthly fee (less than $25), volunteer 2-4 hours a month, and are making forward progress toward achieving their goals. We are currently located at 215 Tremont Street, Door #2. For more information, contact Marcia O’Brien at mobrien@sjfc.edu
