Biography

Queen's University Kingston - English

Professor at Queen's University, Kingston
Higher Education
Shelley
King
Ontario, Canada
Currently Head of the Department of English Language and Literature at Queen's University, I specialize in British Literature of the long Nineteenth Century. In addition to courses on Romantic Women Writers and Victorian Literature, I also teach Children's Literature. My current favourite course is a second-year seminar of Milton's Paradise Lost and Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials.
One of the important aspects of being Head of Queen's English is making connections with our graduates, and I look forward to hearing from alumni of both the graduate and undergraduate programs.
