Prof. Matthews really knows how to connect with his students to make them care what they are learning about. He really values his students and his work and he uses a lot of personal anecdotes. He is always willing to talk and is very accessible outside of class. Do the work well and you shouldn't struggle with this class.

As society becomes more globally connected there is a growing need to provide academic opportunities for students to gain international experience. Students must be able to work cross culturally to achieve business objectives. My goal is to assist students in gaining the academic opportunities they need to be successful. I love teaching and being connected with students in and out of the classroom.

Special interest include:
* The effects of culture on employee motivation, performance, and behavior
* The historical relevance of economic, political, and cultural factors in Buenos Aires and the impact on worker motivation
* Factors necessary to create a society of motivated and productive citizens
* Ethnic Co-existence: Living as One in a Global Society
* Current trade and business practices between the United States and Japan
