Development and Validation of an Emotional Intelligence IAT

EI is measured through explicit measures including performance-based tests and self-report questionnaires. The use of such measures has been highly scrutinized; the susceptibility to faking and need for individual introspection. The objective of this study is to develop and validate an Implicit Association Test (IAT) for EI.Through the measurement of associations between concepts and attributes

an EI-IAT will yield a true evaluation of one’s EI.

Validation of a Pre-Employment Test for Personnel Selection

The purpose of this project was to investigate the psychometric evidence supporting the use of a pre-employment test to improve the selection of applicants for non-supervisory positions in a large industrial plant. This predictor

    a 40-item Teamwork KSA test

was theoretically related to important aspects of job performance. Results showed good evidence for the reliability of both the Teamwork KSA test scores and supervisors’ ratings of job performance. Content validity evidence indicates the 5 KSA categories are not equally represented and the 40 items have adequate relevance. \n

Duane G. Meyer Library Training Manual

Training manual developed for a Missouri State University library. Goal of the project was to quickly orient employees to common tasks and the culture of the library. Another goal was also to cross-train employees from different areas in the library.
