I strongly recommend taking his class. Many of my classmates felt that Professor Lamit's class was unnecessary because of the very excellent power point notes. His power point notes are very clear and informative. His tests were right out of the notes taken in class and if you did not understand something, he will take the time to personally go over your concerns with you. I did have some issues with the way his TA graded some of my work but he resolved my concerns to my complete satisfaction. He took the time to listen to my critiques and helped me understand the issues.

Professor Lamit is a very dry and tedious lecturer who posts all of his lecture notes on-line. You can save 4 hours a week if you study the lecture notes handout. We are all hoping that Professor Horton will soon return from his sabbatical.
