      Retired-Senior Career Coach

Counseled and coached students, alumni and others to gain a better understanding of their skills, strengths and interest and how they can transition into careers of their choice. This is done by using and interpreting assessments, showcasing transferable skills and coaching. and gaining a good understanding of employers needs. Coach and Supervise the Career Walk-In Student Advisors (approximately 5-7 students, volunteers and interns) as they successfully learn how to counsel students, alum and community members on career related concerns, review resumes and conduct mock interviews. I managed staffing and workflow in the Career Services satellite office in the College of Business for ten years. Planned, organized and implemented the annual College of Business Career Day conference in October, with approximately 800 students and 50 employers per year. Present workshops and seminars on career planning and placement; resume and cover letter writing, interviewing, job search, and topics as requested from on and off campus. Taught and continue to teach business and career planning courses to students, alumni, social groups and community organizations resulting in a clearer understanding of how to succeed in the careers.
