Awesome

Professor Kayes was extremely available to student, even tough that is a big class. She is clear in her expectations and is extremely encouraging to students like they can understand biology. The bi21x series is no more work intensive than other intro science series. In order to do well in this class trust the system, pay attention and do the extra credit.

Awful

Professor Kayes is quite possibly the worst professor I've experienced at Oregon State University. She gets her own questions wrong and shrugs off students questions. When I was in her class she would completely ignore male students that would ask questions. Apparently, this is what this school looks for in a biology teacher.

Average

My BIO211 was taught by Prof. Fowler and Lori. She's okay, but she passes over slides so fast that I had missing pages of notes. As for the workload, reading quizzes were annoying and worksheets weren't helpful, but they weren't so bad.
