Lori holds a master’s degree in education from Northeastern State University. She currently chairs the Hospitality Management program, and teaches professional development. Lori teaches students proper social behavior and upholds them to inculcate a sense of moral responsibility when using social media. She also teaches several computer applications courses. She teaches courses in a traditional setting, ITV, blended, and online. She believes strongly in experiential education where learners spend much of their time with hands-on types of applications; preparing them for employment in the rapidly changing field of business. Lori has been a promoter of environmental awareness and has incorporated service-learning into her curriculum. In her free time, Lori enjoys reading a good book, cooking, watching her daughter swim, teaching bible school, and spending time with family and friends.

    Currently chairs the Hospitality Management program and teaches Introduction to Hotels, Restaurants, and Tourism; Lodging Operations; and Hospitality Industry Technology. This program has implemented the Norse Way of Knowing into the curriculum. Other courses are Professional Development; Computers in Society; Microsoft Office 2016; Microsoft Word 2016; and Excel Spreadsheets. She has.incorporated a service-learning project for Excel Spreadsheets capstone project.

    My responsibilities included setting up and maintaining the new computer lab. Taught beginning keyboarding classes. Other duties included Builder's Club sponsor and computer technician for the Junior High School.
