Awful

Professor Powell talks way too fast, and changes slides before you can finish taking down the notes. The tests are extremely long and difficult. He assigns multiple readings a week that are typically 20 or more pages. Do not take this class until you absolutely have to. It was the worst class I have ever taken.

Powell's class isn't great however it's okay, he comes off awkward when trying to be funny, and he gives boring lectures that consist of mostly quickly reading his slides. There are long readings at least 20+ pages, and the bimonthly homework only counts for 20% of your grade, however it's very easy. The tests are long and felt memorization based, with tons of writing that counts for most of your grade. His final for the class was optional.
