Good

Your grades in the class of Professor Carmichael will be based from attendance, weekly online discussion posts and quizzes, and progress made on a paper. The quizzes were easy and you can search the answers online. She is very nice but a picky grader. Sometimes it feels like you are not learning much because there were no tests given. Overall, her class is easy.

Poor

To make a long story short, don't take this class unless you want to feel like a high school student in college. For some unknown reason, Doctor Carmichael gives you a single article to write, but then micromanages it to the extent that it doesn't even feel like you wrote it anymore. Her lectures are dull and her metaphors and both long winded and don't make any sense.

Awesome

I can't stress enough how caring and detailed of a teacher Professor Carmichael is. She is very responsive to emails and during her office hours. She also makes the grading criteria quite clear. She is even willing to help you to plan your academic and professional career and to connect you with resources.

Prof. Carmichael is one of the sweetest profs I've ever had. You can see that she really cares about her students. I suggest you really take time to get to know her and vice versa because she's a really great person! Advanced Political Simulations class with her was really fun. Despite the couple long papers, everything was relatively easy.

I think Professor Carmichael is very knowledgeable about international politics. I can say that she's very intelligent. However, I think she may be a bit hypocritical on some things. I had some issues with my class group. I reached out to her about it and she didn't change anything or even reprimand anyone. She tried to do this solidarity bit, which felt kind of insulting.

To be honest, Professor Carmichael's class gave me a headache sometimes. First, the class is very easy, but the exams are difficult. Second, she has great ideas. However, it never really translate well and often we were confused by what she wanted us to do. Finally, the group projects have no real accountability mechanisms and she's not helping to fix it.

Dr. Carmichael is one of the most entertaining and kind professors I've ever had! We had lots of group projects though. To get a good score, you must attend class and participate. Her exams are challenging but do not actually weigh much. I'd take another of her classes in a heartbeat.

I loved Doctor Carmichael and her class. She is remarkably passionate about the course in the most endearing way. Also, manages to make all her lectures interesting. This is the only class where I truly enjoyed the readings, in which participation in class is voluntary. If you have a chance, I do recommend her class.
